FC Barcelona will be missing two key players in the return leg against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, so one of Barcelona’s major concerns is their midfield. Andreas Christensen and Sergi Roberto are suspended for the match due to yellow card accumulation.

As a result, manager Xavi Hernandez will have to decide: Is Pedri ready to play a full 90 minutes? A recent report from Diario AS revealed why Barcelona might be hesitant to play the midfield for an entire contest.

Furthermore, MARCA reports that Xavi wants Pedri to be present in the final minutes of the match against PSG. This information could mean that the player is likely to come off the bench as the Catalan side is being careful with his integration back onto the pitch.

Pedri has dealt with hamstring and muscular injuries this season and only recently returned to the Barcelona squad. The midfielder missed four games after his latest hamstring injury, which explains why the team is cautious.

The Barcelona standout has played two games against PSG and Cadiz since returning from injury and both contests have seen him come off the bench.
