Sugarbush, Vermont, shared some good news to Instagram yesterday.

Officials at Sugarbush wrote, "the weather's looking GOOOOOD for potentially adding some bonus days next week." See below.

The resort admits they cannot share an official schedule at this time, but will likely release one in the next day or two. There is a potential schedule out, though, where officials at Sugarbush report that they are leaning towards staying open through Tuesday, closing Wednesday/Thursday for poor weather, reopening Friday, and then being open for the next two weekends.

"And if THAT'S not enough, we're opening up these final three weekends to Boomer Passes as well! Come get your corn harvest on."

Conditions at Sugarbush are literally reported to be "corn snow", with a 40 inch base and rain coming down at the moment. The temperature (34 degrees F) is only a couple degrees off from freezing, so the potential for snow is close.

Sugarbush has received 249 inches of snow this season.

Sugarbush currently has 9 of 14 open trails "groomed and ready for cruising."

According to the daily message, Super Bravo spins from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM. The weather next week continues to improve and we're getting optimistic that we may open for some bonus days.

If the weather turns south again, we'll plan to close this Sunday and reopen for two final weekends, culminating with Ski & Tee Weekend on May 4th and 5th. Stay tuned for an official operating plan in the coming couple of days.

Racer's Edge has 5 terrain park features to fulfill your late season freestyle needs.

The resort also provided an update on the new lift. "Construction on the new Heaven's Gate lift continues. Most recently, the first three lift towers were removed so we can get to work with construction up there. Heaven's Gate and Castlerock are closed, as well as all terrain skier's left of Lower Organgrinder including Domino, parts of Lower Jester, Heaven's Gate Traverse, and Gondolier. It is imperative that skiers and riders obey all signage marking the closed portions of these trails."

"They are closed because they are within an active construction site, so disobeying this signage puts you and our mountain operators at significant risk of accident or injury. Thank you for obeying posted signage and trail closures. 'Closed' means CLOSED."

As far as touring, the entirety of Mt. Ellen is fair game. The morning Lincoln Peak uphill route is now closed as our snow cats are out and about in the Spring Fling/Racer's Edge area at that time. But, backcountry skiers have free range of Gate House/North Lynx.

All in all, there are plenty of options to go find corn snow or work up a sweat skinning up the mountain. Sugarbush is making every effort to deliver the late-season goods.
