Report: Commanders re-upping on OL Larsen
Tyler Larsen Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Tyler Larsen is returning to Washington. The offensive lineman is reportedly set to re-sign with the Commanders, according to ESPN’s John Keim (on Twitter).

A former undrafted free agent, Larsen had a five-year run with the Panthers prior to joining Washington for the 2021-22 season. The Commanders initially brought him on as a reserve offensive lineman, but Larsen found himself working in and out of the starting lineup during his time in the organization, starting in 11 of his 18 appearances.

After beginning the 2022 season on PUP, Larsen quickly found himself starting at center in place of Nick Martin. Larsen would proceed to start eight of his nine appearances before suffering a dislocated kneecap in Week 13, ending his season prematurely. Pro Football Focus wasn’t particularly fond of his performance last season, ranking him 29th among 36 qualifying centers.

Larsen’s role for the coming campaign figures to be nailed down in preseason camp.
