WWE has reportedly released Drew Gulak and other WWE NXT names.

Gulak has been marred in controversy after claims made by former WWE superstar Ronda Rousey. During an interview with NewsNation's "Banfield," Rousey claimed that Gulak pulled her by the strings of her sweatpants while she was waiting to speak with WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque. Rousey claimed Gulak was "barely an acquaintance."

Now, it appears Drew Gulak has been fired.

The report comes from PWInsider.com. Other names on this list include Ezekiel Balogun, Julian Baldi, Trey Bearhil, Emmamaria Diaz, Valentina Feroz, Darrell Mason, Vlad Pavlenko, and Kiyah Saint. It was noted in the report that most of the talent cuts are due to there being no creative plans in place for those names.

As for Gulak, it had been implied on WWE NXT that Tony D'Angelo and The Family, "took care of" Drew, implying that the former WWE coach had been dispatched of in storyline. This was clearly a way for WWE to write Drew Gulak out of NXT TV knowing they'd probably be giving him his walking papers.

Given the allegation from Rousey, Gulak might have a difficult time finding work on the independent scene in the United States. Time will tell if anyone takes a chance on the 37-year-old given what has been claimed by Ronda Rousey.

Gulak responded to the accusation made by Rousey on social media, claiming his hand accidentally got caught in her drawstring when going for a handshake.
